OUR STORY
2003. Obtained designation as 501(c)3 charitable organization.
2004. Created first scholarship program and presented awards to (5) graduating seniors. Students from BE programs have since been admitted to more than 20 colleges and universities across the country.
2005. Hosted first financial literacy program in conjunction with Primerica and joined forces the following year with the Philadelphia chapter of Operation Hope.
2008. Integrated social media to help raise awareness of teens aging out of the foster care system. Assembled team to produce independent film, 18 and Out.
2009. Partnered with Media Independence (MiND)TV to make plans for a Teen Filmmaking program that will use media as a venue to teach collaboration, budgeting, and other vital life skills for teens, including those preparing to age out of care.
