Frank E. Underwood, Sr.

Frank Underwood is chairman of the Central Virginia Film Institute, one of only 49 official organizations sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Pictures to host Oscar Night America. He is a devoted father of four talented children, writer/artist Frank Underwood, Jr. and accomplished actor/director Blair Underwood. A retired US colonel, and highly respected business leader,  Frank has provided unparalleled counsel to Beyond Expectations. 


 

Cindy Rein-Zima. 

Cindy is the President and CEO of Hamilton Horizons Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution dedicated to providing affordable financial services, loans and financial literacy programs to the community. She has worked in and around credit unions in different capacities since 1978.  She is a Certified Financial Counselor training groups and individuals in budgeting and finances.

Eric Fiedler.

Eric has a strong background in marketing and development for not-for-profit organizations. His experience includes outreach and development work for New England Business Associates, an organization that assists individuals with disabilities in attaining their employment and education goals. Prior to that, Eric was the Director of Development for Independence Public Media, a not-for-profit which broadcasts an innovative public television  station in the greater Philadelphia region.

He Len Chung, PhD

Dr. Chung joined The College of New Jersey as an Associate Professor after completing the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Postdoctoral Scholar Psychiatric Epidemiology Training Program at the University of Pittsburgh. She received the Mentored Undergraduate Summer Experience (MUSE) Award twice, working with students on three publications and ten presentations at peer-reviewed conferences. She has also been recognized for identifying partnership opportunities to engage students, including nearly 20 from her Collaborative Research Lab who have participated in Beyond Expectations programs over the past few years. 

 

Visual Merchandising.

Simone A. Jarvis is an Advocate Supervisor with Court Appointed Special Advocates of Burlington County (CASA). A former Visual Merchandiser Lead with Target Stores and New York's H&M flagship store, she educates students on wardrobe tips for on-camera appearances. Simone serves as BE's Manager of Sponsorships and Community Relations leading volunteer initiatives and our "Successories Drives" securing donations of accessories for our older teens heading to interviews and professional events.


Public Speaking.

Kevin Thompson, MPA, DTM, is a  multi-award winning professional speaker with a Six Sigma Black Belt in Process Improvement. He is the former President of the New Jersey National Speakers Association and facilitates Public Speaking and Personal Branding workshops for our Young Professionals Leadership Initiative.


Animation.

Kenneth Lee has a background in 3D animation, motion graphics, and design. A number of our students have expressed an interest in this area. In additional to showcasing sample projects, he provides candid conversations about career options in the field of animation.


 

Independent Living.

Executive Chef Kahlil Wyche is one of the hottest on-demand chefs in the country! For more than 20 years, he has catered to the diverse culinary needs of celebrities, corporations, and families as CEO of Catering to Your Whims, Inc. He shares successful business principles and conducts a Healthy Cooking / Nutrition program for our Young Professionals Leadership Initiative.


Journalism.

Linda Shockley is Deputy Director of The Dow Jones News Fund which promotes careers in print and online journalism through workshops for high school students and recognition forjournalism teachers. She is President of the Lawnside Historical Society and a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She shares trends in journalism, digital media, and online reputation management.


Voiceover.

George Washington III is a professional voice artist whose impeccable voice has represented McDonald's, Courtyard by Marriott, Whole Foods, and Time Warner Cable. George explains the process of creating a PSA (public service announcement) developed from students' original content.
