We wrapped our Spring 2015 series with awesome students that joined our Television Studio Production classes and Speedcrewing Workshops. They range in age from 10 - 18 years old enabling opportunities for the older students to gain peer leadership experience.

We jumped right in with basic media terminology -- assigning different studio crew assignments from producer to floor manager to enhance their communication skills and begin to understand the importance of collaboration.

It's always amazing when we start to uncover the wealth of hidden talents in young people. We can already see the makings of success on the horizon in this class, too!

Speedcrewing @ Riverview Television Studios!

October 11 - Today our crew had the opportunity to welcome a group of wonderful students from the First Baptist Church of Trenton. Ranging in age from 11 - 18, the teens had a chance to tour the state-of-the art studio, learn how to operate the professional television cameras as well as the audio equipment in the control room.

After learning some basic television production terminology, they broke into groups and created two original shows based on topics of their choice.

Group 1 created a segment on International Soccer while group 2 worked with Simone Jarvis, a Visual Stylist who travelled from the H&M Flagship Store in New York City, to help create their segment: La Professionale (classic wardrobe for teens).

Then, the students took to the cameras and had a chance to tape their very own segments alongside our studio production crew.

And, they did it all in just one day!

Using media to bring families together...

September 17 - There are lots of community programs for youth and plenty of workshops for parents. Our Family Film Initiative brings them both together!! It's a great opportunity to work as a studio crew, bring your own props, and tell your own stories.

We're hosting our totally fun #Speedcrewing programs at several locations throughout Mercer and Burlington Counties. If you want to take the experience to the next level, make plans to attend the special session on Saturday, October 11 at a local television studio!

Spring Family Film Screening is a wrap!

It's simply amazing for our organization to play a role in bringing families together and showcase all that's GOOD with youth. Thanks to our supporters, wonderful students, and phenomenal crew!
