July 22 — Through a collaboration with The College of New Jersey, students from the Beyond Expectations Television Production Program had the unique opportunity to receive their workshop training in a college classroom, participate in a campus tour, and interact with scholars from the Bonner Center for Civic and Community Engagement.
Saturday, July 6 — Students from Beyond Expectations and The First Tee of Greater Trenton teamed up this summer to prepare for an original segment produced at a local television studio.

June 22 - Dani Dixon of Los Angeles based Tumble Creek Press, independent publisher of comic books, trade paperbacks and graphic novels, including the comic book series “13” and Linda Shockley, deputy director of the Dow Jones News Fund Foundation shared their expertise in the areas of writing and journalism. They emphasized the importance of quality and accuracy when bringing a story to life - even in the realm of social media.
Exploring audio production
June 29 - Danielle Lewis, Audio Engineer who works with recording artists on concerts, festivals, as well as corporate, film, and studio productions, facilitated a workshop on sound waves, pitch, and volume. Students received hands-on instruction working with basic elements of a sound amplification system (microphone, cables, speakers, and audio mixer).
Saturday, June 29 — Simone Jarvis, Visual Merchandiser, discussed evolving trends, wardrobe tips for onscreen appearances, and career paths in the industry including Fashion Forecasting.
Ken Lee showcased his work as a 3D Animator and shared his journey from college to his current professional career in New York City.
