Washington, DC — Thurgood Marshall Student Programs confirms partnership with Beyond Expectations Young Entrepreneurs Academy expanding our respective legacies of service.
NBA 2K 2023 FINALS -- We were there!!!
Thanks to Joe Gallant who connected to put this awesome partnership in motion last year with NBA 2K League. This year, we were able to take it to the next level and enjoy the LIVE action of the exciting finals at District E 2K League Studios in the heart of Washington, DC!
Special thanks to Antonio Silva who worked tirelessly with Ms. Leontyne to organize a pre-event visit then a follow-up group visit and behind-the-scenes tour led by Justin Johnson and Nicholas Gartrelle on game day! It gave us a chance to learn about the vast potential opportunities within the 2K League organization then hear directly from so many of the awesome staff that pulled together the amazing tournament:
Production | Commentators | YouTube Influencers | Partnerships | Coaches & more!
Top prize for 5v5 winners ‘Warriors Gaming’ was $500,000! 2nd place team walked away w/ $200,000! Overall, The NBA 2K League awarded $2.5 million in cash prizes across the entire league series.
Plans are underway for an exclusive event with Beyond Expectations + 2K League!!! Stay tuned…
IT’S A WRAP FOR THE SUMMER!
August 17 — Coach Todd finished up the Crash Course with a full session on Content Creation and complete demo on Post-event editing. He wrapped the day with a recap quiz from the entire 5-week training.
We were excited that Antonio Silva from NBA 2K League made time in his schedule to pay us a visit and congratulate the students on their achievement!
Thanks to everyone for making this another amazing summer!
We’re getting right back to work to gear up for the Fall!!
GOING LIVE FOR SESSION 4!
August 10 - Today was the day for the students to showcase what they’ve learned from the culmination of instruction from Coach Todd!
Students took the assignment seriously creating their own NBA 2K Tournament!
They incorporated OBS setup complete with overlays, graphic designs for marketing, bracketology, commentating and livestreamed it all to Twitch!
Students were able to discuss their respective roles as Coach Todd reviewed, provided critiques and valuable feedback.
