Congratulations to our former student, Chental Song Bembry, who recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Hampton University with a BA in Journalism and Leadership Studies. She's also landed a phenomenal Fall Internship on World News Tonight with David Muir.
Chental first joined Beyond Expectations as an invited guest on our student-run television show, "Beyond Expectations TV" (BETV) to talk about her book series, Honey Bunch Kids. She later returned as a student, completing our Media Production programs and later as an intern helping to run behind-the-scenes productions. Her work as an advocate for youth literacy has been recognized on the national scale and she was recently included in Lebron James' Instagram Stories for her motivational message on "Passion and Purpose."
Dedicated to giving back, Chental found time in her busy schedule during college to welcome a new group of students to our Young Entrepreneurs Media Academy.
She's just getting started! Chental is off to grad school seeking a Master's Degree in Marketing. Keep an eye out -- much more to come in Chental's bright future. Stay tuned!
